Have you ever participated in a public hearing? Have you ever read details about a new highway or pipeline in the newspaper?  If so, chances are it was because of a vital law called the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

NEPA requires our government to identify and disclose any significant impacts a federal project may have on our health, environment, or economic livelihoods before construction begins – it’s a powerful tool that communities have been using to protect themselves from dangerous, rushed, and poorly planned federal projects for over 45 years.

But this vital law is under attack. If we don’t act now, the Trump administration could take away our right to have a say about federal government actions in our own backyards. We can’t let that happen.
